Lipoedema Hub is planning an in-person community event in the UK in late 2026 / early 2027.The intention is to create a space for connection, shared understanding, and practical learning shaped by the real needs, voices, and lived experiences of women living with lipoedema.At this early stage, we’re opening the conversation and gathering ideas from the community to help shape what this event becomes. Your insight will help inform the focus, format, and feel of something that is genuinely useful, accessible, and supportive, not just an event to attend, but a space to belong.We’d love to hear your thoughts, please share them in the form below.

Lipoedema Hub is a UK-based, community-led platform created to make living with lipoedema easier to navigate.For many women, information about lipoedema is scattered across social media posts, private groups, comments, and word-of-mouth recommendations. Newly diagnosed women often find themselves overwhelmed, unsure who to trust, where to start, or how to make sense of the many different experiences and opinions they encounter.But even those who have been navigating lipoedema for years can find it challenging to access clear, practical information and trusted support as their needs evolve.Lipoedema Hub exists to bring that fragmented information into one accessible place.The Hub is being developed as a growing directory of lived experience, practical resources, diagnosis pathways, supportive practitioners, and community-informed insights. Its purpose is not to tell people what they should do, but to help them feel more informed, supported, and empowered to make decisions that are right for them.At its heart, Lipoedema Hub is about connection between people, knowledge, and support, and about reducing the sense of isolation that so often accompanies this condition.A community-led approachLipoedema is a complex condition. It affects each woman differently, can change over time, and often sits alongside other physical, emotional, and practical challenges. Experiences vary widely depending on life stage, health history, and individual circumstances, and what feels supportive at one point may not be what’s needed later on. We’d love to hear from you.Why Lipoedema Hub is a Community Interest Company (CIC)Lipoedema Hub operates as a Community Interest Company (CIC) to protect its purpose and ensure it remains people-first.A CIC structure means:<ul><li>the organisation exists to benefit the community it serves</li><li>any income is reinvested into developing resources, events, and support</li><li>ethical partnerships and transparency are prioritised</li><li>the mission is protected from purely commercial pressure</li></ul>This structure was chosen intentionally, to ensure Lipoedema Hub can grow sustainably while staying aligned with its values: accessibility, integrity, and empowerment.About the founder – Bel HardmanI live with lipoedema and was diagnosed in 2020. Like many women, my journey has involved navigating uncertainty, making sense of conflicting information, and finding ways to advocate for myself within systems that don’t always fully understand this condition.Alongside my lived experience, I work professionally as an empowerment coach. Lipoedema Hub is being built collaboratively, shaped by lived experience and shared knowledge from women across the community.Many women navigating lipoedema spend hours searching for information, asking the same questions, scanning old posts, and relying on word-of-mouth recommendations that can be hard to find again later. The aim of Lipoedema Hub is to bring that practical, experience-based information together in one place, making it easier to access and easier to trust.This is where you come in. You don’t need to have all the answers to contribute. Simply sharing what you’ve learned through your own experience can help other women find their way more easily.Through community contributions, Lipoedema Hub is developing a set of shared directories and resources, including:<ul><li>diagnosis pathways and personal experiences of receiving a diagnosis</li><li>therapists and practitioners women have found supportive</li><li>community resources and support networks</li><li>practical tools and products that have been helpful in day-to-day life</li></ul>Contributions can be made anonymously, and you only need to share contact details if you choose to be kept informed.If you’d like to share your experience, suggestions, or recommendations, you can do so using the form below.
